We take a strengths-based, supportive approach to coaching. Our focus is on helping leaders build on what already works, while increasing self-awareness and addressing blind spots that may be limiting their broader impact. We don’t believe coaching is about "fixing" someone. Instead, we focus on unlocking more of the leader's potential and aligning their behaviors with the outcomes the organization needs.

Our Executive Coaching Process

Our coaching engagements are customized but typically follow this proven structure:

  • Initial Alignment
    A 3-way meeting with the coachee, their sponsor (if applicable, HR or direct leader), and LIS to align on priorities and define success.

  • Goal Setting
    The coachee identifies 2–3 high-impact development goals aligned with the organization’s needs.

  • Biweekly Coaching Sessions
    Held over 6-12 months; these sessions are actionable, reflective, and tied to real-time leadership challenges.

  • Progress Check-ins
    Midpoint and final touchpoints with the sponsor to assess observed progress and calibrate next steps.

  • Optional Add-ons
    Feedback gathering, stakeholder input, or 360 assessments can be included as needed.

How is executive coaching different from training or mentoring?

While training teaches skills, executive coaching helps leaders take a new skill or perspective, reflect on what's currently in the way of them applying it within their unique role and context. The executive coach provides 1-1 discussion, brainstorming and reframing support to allow the person to successfully move around anything blocking them. 

Mentoring usually involves sharing advice and personal stories from someone who’s been there before. Coaching is a different kind of partnership with someone. It's more about asking the right questions to help leaders uncover their own insights and build lasting capability.
